The Garden of Life

The Union Baptist Church “Garden of Life” was dedicated June 17, 2001 as a place of celebration, meditation and final resting-place for cremated remains. The beautifully landscaped area includes a bronze plaque for the names of the Church members whose ashes remain in the garden. A walkway with engraved granite bricks celebrates designated individuals or families both living and deceased. This sacred space was made possible through the generous donation of land by church member Barbara McLeod.

The Garden of Life offers an alternative to other burial options and provides a contemplative setting where all can enjoy a peaceful moment. A committee under the auspices of the Trustees oversees its maintenance in perpetuity.
